Brighton Climbing Club (BCC) was established in 2026 to give climbers in the Brighton & Hove area a forum for group trips under the umbrella of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). We are a group of outdoor enthusiasts who come together to enjoy the range of activities the UK has to offer.
High Sports, Brighton's indoor climbing gym, is our home. We gather there typically twice a week and benefit from concessionary rates. In the milder months we organise trips across the UK, as well as Friday evenings and weekends at the local Southern Sandstone crags from May to July.
We organise trips to beautiful places across the UK which offer a range of activities under the umbrella of mountaineering. Climbing is our primary focus, but you will usually find our members scrambling, running, hiking and more. We are very much a member-led club and encourage self-organisation around activities that people are interested in.
BCC membership for 2026 costs £33 for adults (£25 for full-time students, and reduced rates if you join after July) and gives members the benefits of BMC membership. You can find full details on the Membership page.
